Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated, forward-thinking Director of Sales & Marketing to join our team. This individual will lead the development and execution of integrated sales and marketing strategies that strengthen our brand, drive customer acquisition and retention, and position CVCTX as a trusted technology partner in the communities we serve.

General Summary

The Director of Sales & Marketing will oversee all aspects of marketing operations, sales initiatives, and product development, including digital campaigns, community engagement, and brand management, while collaborating closely with other departments to achieve organizational goals.

The ideal candidate combines strategic vision with hands-on execution, has a strong background in telecommunications/broadband sales and marketing, and thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Essential Job Functions

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to increase market penetration, broadband adoption, and revenue growth.
  • Drive B2B and B2C sales initiatives, including account management, consultative selling, and customer relationship development.
  • Lead product development efforts, from concept to launch, ensuring alignment with market needs and company objectives.
  • Build and maintain a strong, consistent brand identity across all channels.
  • Oversee creation and deployment of integrated marketing campaigns, including digital, social, print, and community outreach.
  • Lead and mentor the sales and marketing team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
  • Monitor sales and marketing performance, analyze data, and optimize campaigns and sales processes to maximize ROI.
  • Represent CVCTX at local events, industry conferences, and community initiatives.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including negotiating contracts, evaluating performance, and ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Collaborate with operations and executive leadership to support organizational objectives and strategic growth.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Sales, or related field.
  • Five or more years of progressive leadership experience in sales in marketing, ideally in telecommunications, broadband, or technology.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement successful sales and marketing strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing, social media, marketing automation platforms, and consultative sales techniques.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (or equivalent design programs), WordPress, and CRM systems.
  • Ability to lead sales team to grow revenues in both business and consumer markets.

  • Deep understanding of sales and marketing principles and broadband industry trends.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data and optimize campaigns and sales performance.

Essential Job Functions

  • Support the General Manager in leading CVTC and its affiliated entities.
  • Oversee daily operations and collaborate with department leaders to ensure smooth functionality.
  • Assist in policy development, strategic planning, and execution of Board-directed initiatives.
  • Work closely with Sales to drive growth and customer engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and financial requirements.
  • Represent CVTC at Board meetings, industry events, and community functions.

  • Serve as acting General Manager in the GM’s absence.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Five years of progressive leadership experience in telecommunications or broadband.

We offer our members and customers local and long distance telephone service as well as high-speed broadband services. CVTC is seeking a highly motivated individual focused on quality customer service to join our team to fill the position of Business Sales Specialist.

General Summary

Sells business solutions to commercial customers. Follows up on sales leads and informs and educates potential customers of available products and services. Defines potential customer needs, finds solutions, develops proposals and sales presentations, and closes the sale. Maintains contact with existing customer base to capitalize on new sales opportunities. Follows up with customers to ensure customer satisfaction.

Essential Job Functions

  • Sells business solutions and telecommunications equipment by identifying, researching and contacting potential customers.
  • Follows up on sales leads from technicians, advertisements, and promotions. Informs and educates potential customers of available products and services.
  • Defines potential customer needs, find solutions, develops proposals and sales presentations, and closes the sale. Works with sales engineers on complex customer solutions. Coordinates with multiple departments to fulfill customer needs.
  • Maintains contact with existing customer base and capitalizes on any new sales opportunities by introducing new technologies, products and services to support client operations.
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus one to three years of previous sales experience required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
